'Upside-down' world was CREB head's start

While the average house price in Calgary has now passed the market’s peak of activity in 2007, that number was boosted by many multi-million-dollar sales that raised the average, says Walters.

However, the benchmark price — that of a typical home based on a formula that uses various factors to ensure accurate comparisons — shows the recovery is more localized to different parts of the city, not all of Calgary, she says.
