Are Canada’s business leaders justified in being so pessimistic about the economy?

According to a number of indicators highlighted in a recent study by the OECD, Canada is poised to enjoy a continuing economic recovery in the coming year. Yet, despite the positive prognosis, a survey of North American CFOs shows Canadian businesses remain guarded in their outlook for the near future, and plan to decrease capital spending in 2013 from 2012 levels.
