Builders 'outperform' automotive industry

When it comes to improving the energy efficiency of what they make, homebuilders outperformed the auto industry by a factor of four, said the president of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association.

“CHBA recently analyzed the energy performance of a home in Ottawa built in 1975 and how this same home would perform if built today,” said Deep Shergill at the recent annual conference of the CHBA in Lake Louise.
